Today marked a special moment as the Northern Belle and the legendary Flying Scotsman joined forces in York for a unique journey to Edinburgh.
This iconic locomotive, celebrating its centenary this year, was in impeccable form. With 199 passengers boarding in York and additional travellers joining us in Darlington and Newcastle.
Not only is the journey historic but the menu on board has also been specially curated for this remarkable occasion, including a full English breakfast on the outbound journey and a pan-fried Scottish fillet of beef on the return. Passengers are in for real a treat!
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the National Railway Museum for making this extraordinary journey possible. It's been a day filled with history, joy and happy memories for everyone on board.
Here's to many more steam-hauled adventures in the future!
